# The Best AI Sales Tools in 2026

> Ten AI sales tools re-verified in September 2026: what each one does, whether Claude can connect to it, and how the AI is metered apart from the seat.

Ten AI sales tools verified against vendor pages in September 2026, sorted into data and enrichment, CRM, execution, and conversation intelligence. All ten ship a first-party MCP server, so a Claude user can drive the stack directly. Six meter AI separately from seats, which means the seat price is never the bill.

The ten AI sales tools worth buying in 2026 sort into four jobs: data and enrichment, CRM, execution, and conversation intelligence. The useful question for each is not whether it has AI, because they all do. It is whether your assistant can connect to it, and how the AI is billed next to the seat. Every fact below was re-checked against the vendor's own pages in September 2026, which is why three products on every competing list are missing here.

## What changed in 2026

Start here, because it is what every ranking listicle gets wrong. Three products still on page one for "best AI sales tools" are no longer independent companies.

**Qualified.** Salesforce completed its acquisition on 1 April 2026 and is folding the product into Agentforce. There has been no dated product content since, yet it still ranks well for "AI SDR", which tells you how old that page one is.

**Common Room.** Zoom announced its acquisition on 2 July 2026, folding the product into Zoom Revenue Accelerator. Its Claude connector, published February 2026 with 5 tools, still exists; the URL is the thing to expect to move.

**Clari.** Clari merged into Salesloft, completed 3 December 2025. As of September 2026 clari.com carries a banner that reads, verbatim: "One company, one site. This page will redirect on 9/15/26." If your vendor shortlist still has a clari.com link on it, expect it to redirect.

Three smaller corrections belong here too. Outreach's old domain, outreach.io, now redirects to outreach.ai, although its developer documentation stayed on developers.outreach.io. ZoomInfo did not rename itself: the company is still ZoomInfo Technologies Inc., its ticker changed from ZI to GTM back in May 2025 — the same month it launched GTM Studio and Copilot — and the only 2026 property is GTM.AI, launched 1 June 2026. And the acquirers here are still acquiring: [Attio](/tools/attio) took on Inconvo's team on 9 July 2026, [Nooks](/tools/nooks) bought FullyRamped on 25 August 2026, and [Apollo](/tools/apollo) bought Pocus in March 2026.

## What a Claude user can actually connect

This is the axis nobody else organises around. All ten of these ship a first-party [MCP](/glossary/model-context-protocol) server, and nine of them are listed in Anthropic's Connectors Directory. Gong is the single exception, and it is a difference in distribution rather than capability. That turns a stack of dashboards into something an assistant can query and act on.

Read the tool counts carefully. For Close, Attio, Apollo, Outreach, and Fireflies the directory listing and the vendor's own documentation disagree — Close most widely of all — so we name the source of each figure.

- **[Close](/tools/close)** is the best-documented MCP server in the set. Its catalogue lists 117 tools split into three scopes, 67 read, 16 safe-write, and 34 destructive — our count of Close's list, since Close publishes no total and Anthropic's directory lists 55 — and Close publishes the literal add command in its own docs. Directory listing since November 2025.
- **[ZoomInfo](/tools/zoominfo)** has the strongest overall Claude story: a directory listing from November 2025 with 21 tools attributed to ZoomInfo Technologies Inc., an official Claude Code plugin installed with `claude plugin install zoominfo@claude-plugins-official`, and client guides for Claude Code, claude.ai, Claude Desktop, and Claude Cowork. The gotcha is contractual: ZoomInfo prohibits using MCP-accessed data for AI model training and requires you to disable training in your client first.
- **[Unify](/tools/unify)** shipped a connector in August 2026 with 50 tools, the largest surface of the signal-driven group, and barely mentions it in its own marketing.
- **[Attio](/tools/attio)** has a connector from February 2026; the directory lists 21 tools while Attio's docs describe more than 50. It uses OAuth rather than API keys, auto-approves reads, and asks for confirmation on writes. Separately, Attio's changelog of 16 April 2026 lets you set Claude Opus 4.7 as the default model inside Ask Attio, which is the tightest Claude integration on this list.
- **[Apollo](/tools/apollo)** has a connector from February 2026; the directory lists 13 tools while the docs describe more than 50. Free accounts registered with a personal email address cannot use the search and enrichment actions. Anthropic also ships a partner-built Apollo plugin in its knowledge-work-plugins marketplace.
- **[Outreach](/tools/outreach)** has a connector from February 2026, 15 tools in the directory against 32 in the docs, over Streamable HTTP with OAuth 2.1, PKCE, and dynamic client registration. Read the licensing gate before you plan around it: Outreach states you "must be an active, licensed seat... and have the Amplify add-on package enabled."
- **[Fireflies](/tools/fireflies)** is listed in the directory with just 3 tools, `get_user`, `get_transcript`, and `get_transcripts`, while its documentation describes a broader surface. Its 31 August 2026 blog post is titled, in as many words, "Fireflies MCP Server: How to Connect Your Meeting Data to Claude, ChatGPT, and More."
- **[Nooks](/tools/nooks)** has a connector from June 2026.
- **[Clay](/tools/clay)** has a connector page dated January 2026 with 7 tools and 500 free credits on connect, but does not publish its endpoint URL, so you connect through the directory rather than by pasting an address. Ignore the "Official Clay MCP Server" on third-party MCP indexes: that is clay.earth, a different company.
- **[Gong](/tools/gong)** runs its own MCP server, documented from 27 August 2026, and publishes its own "Claude MCP Client" page. Because it is not in the directory you add it as a custom connector, and it exposes only three read-only tools: `ask_account`, `ask_deal`, and `generate_brief`. Those work on any Gong plan, though Gong notes you also need a Claude plan that supports custom remote MCP connectors.

Two cautions. We call none of these verified by Anthropic: the directory does mark some connectors verified, but the same page says Anthropic "does not control which tools developers make available and cannot verify that they will work as intended or that they won't change". And Salesforce's Claudeforce, announced 26 August 2026, was available to select pilot customers with an open beta expected in September 2026. It ships a Salesforce plugin with 37 prebuilt sales skills, which is worth watching, but check its status before planning a quarter around it.

## The seat price is not the bill

Six of the ten sell AI on a meter wholly separate from seats: Clay, Attio, Apollo, Outreach, Fireflies, and ZoomInfo. Close belongs in the same conversation — it charges per seat, then meters telephony, Call Assistant and AI credits on top. It is the most useful buying fact in the set and none of the competing lists states it.

[Clay](/tools/clay) is the clearest case because it has no per-seat charge at all. Its entry plan is not one number but two independent meters, actions and data credits, billed together and scaling separately, so you can exhaust one with the other untouched. The published credit ladder on that same plan runs to more than ten times the entry price, which makes the headline figure a floor rather than a price. The dated figures are on the [Clay tool page](/tools/clay).

[Attio](/tools/attio) sells the CRM by the seat and the agents by a separate workspace credit pool bought in add-on rungs; its Plus plan is hard-capped at 10 seats, so an eleventh hire forces a jump to Pro on headcount alone. [Fireflies](/tools/fireflies) states the split in its own footnote: transcription is unlimited on the upper plans, but AI Skills, the personal assistant, and voice agents require AI credits. [Outreach](/tools/outreach) publishes no dollar figures at all; its four Amplify tiers differ only by AI credit allocation, 10,000, 25,000, 50,000 and 100,000, each marked "Request pricing", against a stated model of "a combination of seat-based pricing and consumption-based pricing powered by AI credits". That is double metering with no public anchor for either half.

[Apollo](/tools/apollo) is the one to read the contract on. Its fair-use language caps "unlimited" at whichever is lower: your paid amount divided by a fixed per-credit rate, or one million credits per account per year. In practice that turns a mid-sized annual contract into a hard credit ceiling, and the dated rate is on the [Apollo tool page](/tools/apollo). [ZoomInfo](/tools/zoominfo) splits into two products that should never be conflated: the self-serve GTM.AI tier prices data credits and AI credits separately and starts free, while the core sales platform publishes nothing verifiable, because zoominfo.com/pricing returns a 403 to every client we could point at it.

The exceptions are worth naming. [Unify](/tools/unify) has the cleanest self-serve pricing in the study, flat per-seat tiers with credits bundled in. [Close](/tools/close) publishes every tier, though telephony, its Call Assistant add-on, and AI credits all meter on top, which matters because Chloe, its autonomous voice agent released 3 June 2026, is a calling product. [Gong](/tools/gong) publishes no figures at all, only that licences are priced per user plus "a platform fee based on the number of users supported"; every Gong seat number in circulation is third-party procurement data, so we publish none of it. [Nooks](/tools/nooks) is contact-sales only.

## The ten by job

**Data and enrichment.** [Clay](/tools/clay) is a workbench: a spreadsheet where each column runs a [lead enrichment](/glossary/lead-enrichment) step, waterfalling 150-plus vendors by its pricing page, 200-plus by its docs, under one bill, with Claygent browsing live to return any field you describe in words. [ZoomInfo](/tools/zoominfo) takes the opposite posture, not "we have an agent" but "we are the grounding data your agent calls". [Apollo](/tools/apollo) bundles a 240M-plus contact database with outbound execution in one seat; the [Clay vs Apollo head-to-head](/guides/comparisons/clay-vs-apollo) settles that choice.

**CRM.** [Attio](/tools/attio) is the developer-extensible option: a user-defined data model, Research and Web agents, workflows. [Close](/tools/close) is the opposite bet, an all-in-one for small high-velocity inside-sales teams that puts calling, SMS, and email inside the CRM rather than beside it.

**Execution.** [Unify](/tools/unify) turns intent signals into automated plays, with a chat agent, 50-plus native skills, and monitoring across more than 40 signal sources; named customers include Perplexity, Cursor, and Together AI. [Outreach](/tools/outreach) is the incumbent [sales engagement platform](/glossary/sales-engagement-platform), repackaged around agentic surfaces including Outreach Omni, launched 27 April 2026, plus Agent Studio. [Nooks](/tools/nooks) is the dialer specialist: parallel dialing with automated answer detection and phone-tree navigation, plus coaching and roleplay, explicitly human-in-the-loop rather than autonomous calling bots, and carrying SOC 2 Type 2 and ISO 27001. Scope the compliance exposure before you buy.

**Conversation and revenue intelligence.** [Gong](/tools/gong) is the [revenue intelligence](/glossary/revenue-intelligence) system of record: it records and analyses every customer conversation across an org and derives deal risk, forecast, and coaching signals, with agents that write back to the CRM. [Fireflies](/tools/fireflies) sits at the [conversation intelligence](/glossary/conversation-intelligence) end: it joins the meeting, transcribes, and turns transcripts into notes, action items, and CRM records.

## What we left out, and why

Two vendors that would qualify on features did not make it, and the reasons are the point of this page.

**11x** publishes no site-level pricing page — `11x.ai/pricing` returns a 404 — but its Alice product pricing page contradicts itself by $9,000 a year. The Growth tier card reads "Starting at $3,750 / mo", marked "Billed annually", which is $45,000 a year, while the FAQ lower on the same page answers "How much does 11x cost?" with "11x starts at $36,000 per year on the Growth plan." All of that was live as of September 2026, and the pair has co-existed since at least 10 August 2026. 11x also documents no public MCP server — none in its docs, its GitHub organisation, the MCP registry, or Anthropic's connectors directory — though its Julian Enterprise tier does list "Custom MCP Integration". We do not publish a tool page for a vendor whose own pricing page cannot agree with itself, because everything else we would tell you comes from that same source.

**Regie.ai** has fully public pricing but no MCP server and no developer documentation site, and its packaging has churned from RegieOne to RegieGO. On a site about connecting AI to your work that is a poor fit, not a bad product.

You will also notice no market-size figure and no outbound-volume statistic on this page. The numbers that circulate with this category trace to vendor blogs rather than primary research. The same discipline explains why [AI SDR](/glossary/ai-sdr) gets a definition here rather than a ranking: the autonomy claims inside it vary so widely between vendors that one leaderboard would mislead.

## How to choose

Pick by bottleneck, not by category. If the data is wrong, the answer is in the enrichment group. If the CRM cannot represent how you sell, look at Attio. If reps spend the day dialing, look at Nooks or Close. If nobody knows what was said on the calls, start with Fireflies and move to Gong when the question turns organisational.

Then check two things before signing: what the AI meter costs at your real volume, and whether the connector you are counting on is gated behind a seat type or an add-on. The workflow on top of whatever you choose is in [Claude for sales teams](/guides/sales/claude-for-sales-teams); the plan question is in [which Claude plan a sales team needs](/guides/sales/which-claude-plan-for-sales-teams).
