MagicSchool provides AI lesson, worksheet, quiz and rubric drafts that educators can tailor to supplied readings and instructional goals.

MagicSchool offers education-specific AI drafting tools for lesson plans, worksheets, quizzes, and rubrics. Educators can shape inputs around a subject, grade, and instructional goal. Its tool directory describes these surfaces.

Its multiple-choice quiz generator can turn a supplied reading or topic into draft questions, answer choices, and a key. Inputs such as focus, difficulty, grade level, and standards can guide generation; the result can be reviewed and edited. The quiz-generator page documents that capability.

Evaluate it with a taught passage

For a first trial, choose one approved lesson passage and two objectives. Ask for a short draft, then compare every prompt and answer with what was taught. This is our proposed exit-ticket use of quiz or worksheet drafting, not a claim that the product has a verified button with that name.

In the fictional map-reading lesson, the handout says a dotted line marks a walking path and the north arrow indicates north. A useful two-question draft asks which symbol marks the path and what direction the arrow indicates. A third question about map scale would introduce an untaught concept. A key calling the path symbol a solid line would need correction before use.

The exit-ticket guide keeps the objectives, prompts, keys, and evidence in one review table. Supply learner context only when the educator knows it. If the reading level is unknown, leave that as a phrasing constraint for review rather than letting the draft invent a grade.

Keep drafting and interpretation separate

Decide what the educator will accept before generating. Each question should map to an approved objective, be answerable from the taught material, and have a key the educator has checked. A relevant-sounding question can still fail one of those conditions.

The Exit Ticket Reviewer can organize alignment problems and proposed repairs from explicitly supplied text. It does not require student names or submissions to check the draft. An incorrect key is a material defect, not evidence about a learner's understanding.

Formative assessment gives the educator a purpose for a short feedback activity. In this workflow, the educator chooses how to interpret responses and adjust instruction. AI drafting does not settle whether an ambiguous answer reflects wording, taught content, or something else.

Access and adoption

As checked on October 7, 2026, MagicSchool lists Free, Plus, and Enterprise offerings, giving it a freemium directory classification. Check current access details directly. MagicSchool's pricing page is the reference.

Retain an educator review copy outside the learner-facing ticket. Record the source passage and why a prompt was included so a later revision does not lose its connection to the lesson. If the objectives or approved material are missing, gather those inputs first; more generated questions will not resolve the gap. Classroom use remains an educator decision after the draft is checked, with no automatic grading or diagnosis implied by this workflow.
