Zapier Agents lets you describe an AI agent in plain English (what triggers it, what it does, which apps it may use), give it knowledge sources, and publish it to run on a schedule, on app events, from a Zap, or on demand across 9,000+ integrations. Usage is billed in activities, separate from Zapier tasks, with free and Pro tiers as of September 2026.

Zapier Agents is the agent layer on top of the biggest integration catalog in no-code automation. Instead of drawing a fixed Zap, you write instructions in plain English about what should trigger the agent, what it should do, and which apps it may touch, then attach actions as tools and documents as knowledge. Zapier Copilot helps you configure it, you test it, and you publish. From then on it runs on a schedule, reacts to app events, or answers when you chat with it.

For a founder who already runs the company on Gmail, Slack, HubSpot, and a spreadsheet, that is the appeal: the connections are already there, and the agent is the part that used to require a person to read, decide, and act.

Highlights

In a founder's workflow

The sweet spot is the recurring judgment task that is too fuzzy for a Zap and too boring for you. Inbound lead triage is the canonical example:

Publish it, watch the activity log for a week, and tighten the instructions where it guesses wrong. NOTE

An activity is any billable action: a trigger firing, a knowledge answer, an action, a web search or browse, or a Chrome extension message. Activities are separate from Zapier tasks, so Agents usage does not eat your Zap allowance and vice versa.

Good to know

Zapier Agents runs at agents.zapier.com and needs no install beyond the optional Chrome extension. As of September 2026 the Agents pricing page lists a free tier (400 activities a month, tests count, 10 activities per run) and a Pro tier starting at about $33.33/month on annual billing (1,500 activities a month, tests free, 40 per run), with Enterprise arranged via sales and activities shared across the account on Team and Enterprise. When the monthly allowance runs out, agents stop running actions but you keep chat access.
