Zoominfo
ZoomInfo is a B2B contact and company database with intent signals, now positioned as the grounding data your agent calls through API, MCP or CLI.
ZoomInfo is a B2B database covering 100M+ companies and 500M+ professionals with intent signals, sold as two different products: the GTM.AI self-serve credit store launched 1 June 2026, and the core sales platform, which publishes no verifiable pricing. Its MCP server has the strongest Claude story in this set, and a licence term that prohibits using the data for model training.
ZoomInfo is the incumbent B2B dataset: more than 100 million companies, more than 500 million professionals, with intent signals layered on top. What changed in 2026 is the positioning. ZoomInfo is not claiming to have the best agent. It is claiming to be the grounding data your agent calls — a headless context layer reachable by API, MCP or CLI. For a Claude user that is a more useful posture than another chat window.
Get the naming facts right, because most comparison pages do not. The company was not renamed: it is still ZoomInfo Technologies Inc. The stock ticker changed from ZI to GTM, and that happened in May 2025. GTM Studio and ZoomInfo Copilot launched in the same May 2025 release as the ticker change. The only 2026 property is GTM.AI, a second official site at gtm.ai launched 1 June 2026. Note that gtm.ai's footer carries the copyright of ZoomInfo Technologies LLC, a real Delaware subsidiary — which is probably where the rename rumour starts.
Two products, and only one has published prices
Never quote a ZoomInfo price without saying which product it belongs to.
GTM.AI self-serve publishes real numbers. As of September 2026 it lists Free at $0 with 1,000 data credits and 1,000 AI credits and no card required, pay-as-you-go starting from $20 with no seat fees, and a custom Enterprise tier. As of September 2026 data credits are $0.38 each at the $1,000 spend tier, so 5,000 of them cost $1,900, while AI credits are a flat $0.05 each, so 2,000 cost $100.
That flat AI rate is worth noticing. Data and AI meter separately, which puts ZoomInfo with Clay, Attio and Apollo in the group where the seat price — or here, the data price — is not the bill. It also makes GTM.AI the only enterprise-grade dataset in this set you can test on a card without talking to anyone.
The core sales platform — Professional, Advanced, Elite — publishes nothing we can verify. Its pricing page sits behind a bot wall and returns a 403 to automated clients, so there is no citable, dateable source. Every tier figure and seat minimum circulating for those plans is third-party procurement data, and we publish none of it. If a comparison page gives you a ZoomInfo contract price, ask where it came from.
Can a Claude user connect it?
Yes, and this is the strongest Claude story of any tool in this set.
The endpoint is https://mcp.zoominfo.com/mcp. The Connectors Directory listing dates to November 2025, registers 21 tools and is published as "Made by ZoomInfo Technologies Inc." Beyond the connector, ZoomInfo ships an official Claude Code plugin:
claude plugin install zoominfo@claude-plugins-officialClient guides exist for Claude Code, claude.ai, Claude Desktop and Claude Cowork — four surfaces, which no other vendor here matches. (We make no claim about the directory's verification badge. Anthropic's directory does mark some connectors verified, but its own page says Anthropic "does not control which tools developers make available and cannot verify that they will work as intended or that they won't change".)
Then read the licence term, because it is the one genuine blocker in the category: ZoomInfo contractually prohibits using MCP-accessed data for AI model training, and requires you to disable training in your client before you connect. That is a configuration step you perform, not a clause you skim. If your organisation routes model traffic through a setup where training is on by default, fix that first. Claude for sales teams covers where those settings live.
Where it fits against the alternatives
ZoomInfo is the dataset procurement already trusts, and GTM.AI is now the cheapest honest way to test whether the coverage is worth it. If you want data plus execution in one seat, Apollo is the mid-market answer and Clay vs Apollo covers that side of the market. If your problem is routing across many vendors, Clay is the workbench; if it is acting on live signals, Unify is.
As a lead enrichment source reached over MCP, ZoomInfo is the most complete option here — with the most restrictive terms. The best AI sales tools of 2026 roundup weighs both.
Frequently asked questions
- Was ZoomInfo renamed to GTM?
- No. The company is still ZoomInfo Technologies Inc. What changed was the stock ticker, from ZI to GTM, and that happened in May 2025. GTM Studio and ZoomInfo Copilot also launched in May 2025, in the same release. The only 2026 property is GTM.AI, so the 2026 change is one product brand, not a corporate rename. Several comparison sites get this wrong in both directions.
- How much does ZoomInfo cost?
- Two products, two answers. As of September 2026 the GTM.AI self-serve store publishes real prices: Free at 0 dollars with 1,000 data and 1,000 AI credits and no card required, pay-as-you-go from 20 dollars with no seat fees, data credits at 0.38 each at the 1,000-dollar spend tier so 5,000 costs 1,900 dollars, AI credits at a flat 0.05 each so 2,000 costs 100 dollars, and a custom Enterprise tier. The core sales platform publishes nothing verifiable.
- Why do you not publish prices for the core ZoomInfo platform?
- Because ZoomInfo does not. Its pricing page for the Professional, Advanced and Elite tiers is behind a bot wall and returns a 403 to automated clients, so there is no source we can cite or date. Every tier price and seat minimum circulating for those plans comes from third-party procurement data and is unverified, so this page carries none of it.
- Can I use ZoomInfo data from Claude to train a model?
- No. ZoomInfo contractually prohibits using data accessed through its MCP server for AI model training, and requires you to disable training in your client before connecting. That is a real configuration step, not boilerplate, and it is the strictest data term of any connector in this set.
